Well we are into Sept. Its only the 6th but seems to be alittle busy already. We are starting to move stuff from storage to the house. We did two loads and got sore legs to the point that we didn't want to do any more for a while.
Fri. Dad and I went to the temple. It was good to be back again. It takes about 90 min. to drive down. We dropped Brianne off at the bus stop and were on our way. After we got done we went furniture shopping and got a table, 4 chairs, 4 barstools, a couch and snuggler (a short love seat). They will be delivered this next Fri., all except for the barstools which had to be ordered. It will be nice to have furniture in the livingroom.
Today we went into Cedar because Smith's grocery store was have a case goods sale so I got quite a bit of stuff to go along with all the yr. supply stuff we have. I also got some meat so we should be set except for fresh produce for quite a while.
I think you have all had a call from Quinn with his news. Dwain's comment was, "Silly boy!" I had to laugh at that because he was a silly boy too once upon a time. They are at Bear Lake camping. Anita decided not to participate in the tri. there today but was a spectator. They are just having a little camping vacation. Laura Turley Layton and her new hubby were lifeguards for the swimming part of the competition. Laura saw Anita and so that is how they connected.
Well, so are we going to have all of you here for Thanksgiving? Anjuli will be here with Quinn so I think it would be a good time to be together as a family. We are still deciding where we will be for Christmas. We're not sure where we will stay in the valley if we were there. Brianne would really like to come and stay until the wedding is over. We will just have to see. She would miss the first week of school if we do that.
Well that is my thoughts for now.
Hugs to all.

Update--the move
Well again Brianne is encouraging me to update my blog, so here goes.
Where to start? Well the big move day was Aug. 8th. We had been packing for forever it seemed like and I wondered at times if it would ever end. I had a hard time giving up things so I think most of it came with us and I am doing the weeding out part now. Dad had the same problem so we have lots of tools and stuff that needs to be organized. OUR big problem is that we both have so much that it is hard to know what to do with it. I think shelves for Dad would help but he isn't quite ready yet to do that. Maybe when its cold outside and warm inside he will build the shelves and get things put on them.
Well we packed Chad's trailer on Wed. and then Thurs. Dad and I worked on the truck until the boys got there to help. We were doing really good until it rained and that stopped everything for about 1 1/2 hr. Then David had to leave so he could get up in the morning and Shannon hung around to help then he had to leave as well. We finally got to bed about 11 and got up at 3:30. Dad and I slept on the floor in our room with one little blanket. Chad and Brianne were on a mattress in the living room with one blanket. The trailer Chad had borrowed was full of mattress and they filled one corner of the living room from floor to ceiling. Quinn went home to pack and sleep. Chad left to get him and we headed out with Dad. They caught up with us at the Camp Verde rest stop. Dad was having some lights on the dash blink at him so we stopped and he put a call into the roadside service number. He didn't stop so we caught up with him and then we all stopped to get gas at the Maverick station in Flagstaff and waited there for the service guy to come. Whatever the problem was it didn't cause any problems so we finaly got on the road again after an hr. We had some breakfast so that helped all of us. At Lee's Ferry I had Quinn come and drive with me and Brianne went with Chad. Quinn and I stopped in Cedar to get some KFC and the other guys went on to Minersville. HEre is where it got exciting and frustrating at the same time. By the time they got to the property it was pouring rain. Good, becasue it was badly needed, bad becasue the road was now mud. Dad got most of the way in and then slid off the road. It wasn't bad but enough that he wasn't going anywhere soon. Chad stopped and he got in with him and Brianne and they went on to the house. They got house and took their shoes off and went in the house. Well Quinn and I slid and shimmed up the road to the truck. Chad, with his 4 wheel drive, came out and got the trailer we were pulling and then we slid around on up to the house. I think he had fun mudbogging. Anyway when it stopped raining we were able to get the small trailer and the truck emptied and some out of Chad's trailer and the truck moved up by the house before we drove back to Angela's for dinner and to sleep.
Sat. we were back at it and had some help from the Elder's quo. pres and Joe. That was a great help. We had boxes labeled so that those that needed to come in the house did and the rest went in the basement. We finished up about 8:10 and headed back to Cedar. DOG TIRED!!!! We turned the truck in and then went back to Angela's. Dad decide to drive back with the boys to get the rest of the stuff that wouldn't fit, I said we had alot of stuff!
Mon. he got another truck, 16', and with Benjamin's help got it loaded about 4:30. He got a couple hrs. sleep and then was back on the road for Ut. I worried about him but he arrived around 4am. We got that truck unloaded on Tues. Angela and the kids came out with us and helped to start unpacking boxes. By Fri. of that week, 14th we had temporay permission to stay at the house, WAHOO!!!! We have worked on the things that still needed to be done to pass our inspection and will have the final one (we hope) next Tues. We plan to ask what his guidelines are for porches, decks, and garages so that we know what he wants to start with. Then we will make our plans.
While dad was home packing I took Brianne into Beaver and got her registered for school. Then we went back to Cedar and did some school shopping. It was a long day. She started school on the 18th.
Our 3rd Sun. we got to be the speakers. It went well. We were able to get the internet hooked up on Wed. and I got on the church website and found some talks for us to use. We love the ward and the people here. Many of them are related but all very friendly. One sister came by today with vegetables from her garden to share with us.
On Sat. while we were unloading we had a swarm of flying ants decide to come into the house via the chimney. I was vacuuming them up as fast as they came in and Chad got a poisin sprayer from the Elders quo. pres. and was able to get on the roof and spray them. I thought at the time "what else? " But we got them taken care of and were able to do what we needed to.
We are grateful for the blessings of the Lord in getting us here, even though at times we wondered why we had so much crap to get thru. We have been told that we were prayed here because they need good people.
We have yet to get Brianne to mutual. She stayed home from school to day with a sore throat. She has had soem challenges with staying hydrated so I thought that was the problem but she has a bad sore throat so I mixed up some liquid herbs in water for her and got some Vit. c down her. I'll give her another dose before she goes to bed and she should be back tos school tomorrow.

Guess what?
Hey ya'll,
Brianne convinced me that I needed to join all of you bloggers so now I have.
Dad was up early and out in the south garden. He turned it all over as there were these little green things called weeds trying to grow and he didn't want that going on so they got turned over. Then we got Quinn and Brianne up, had breakfast and then got Quinn in the grapefruit tree and he picked it clean and we now have 8 gals. of juice in the freezer and Katelynn took about 4 gal. home with her. Then it was noon so we came in and rested. We have the computer room all painted blue again in the same shade but new. We got some more paint to paint the ceiling. There was a spot above the door going outside that had peeled up so he scraped that, plastered over it and now the ceiling will need to be painted. We also got some white paint for the living room ceiling after we get the repair of the hole there done. We still need to replace the food disposal in the kitchen, the large window in the computer rm. and maybe the motor to the dishwasher and the repairs will be done, unless our buyers come up with something else that they would like to have done and we will have to agree to do that. Its been a long 5 months getting all these repairs done.
Hopefully on Monday the powers that be will decide what needs to be done so that our building permits can be done and the large hole in the ground where the basement will be can be filled with cement and bricks so we will have a basement to put a house on. The problem is the permit approver in Beaver wants the truss system that will be between the basement and house to meet a certain seismic rating. The well is coming, and barring any more rain this week, should be finished.
We will be going back up on the 18th of June and will take a U-haul truck full of stuff. We can rent a storage unit in Minersville to store it until we can move it to the house. Getting us moved has been a BIG stressor for Dad.
